Follow these methods/steps to install the official uBlock Origin on your Microsoft Edge browser.
Method 1 : Microsoft Edge Add-ons Store
Visit the official uBlock Origin page on the Microsoft Edge Add-ons store then click on Get.

Method 2 : Chrome Web Store
Since Edge is Chromium-based, you can also install uBlock Origin from the Chrome Web Store. Visit the Chrome Web Store page and click on Add to Chrome (it will prompt to add to Edge instead).

info When you visit the Chrome Web Store on edge You’ll see a prompt that says “Allow extensions from other stores”, click on enable.
Method 3 : Extension Side Loading
electric_bolt Heads up: Edge supports sideloading extensions just like Chrome. This process is straightforward and works seamlessly. Welcome to Chromium flexibility.
1- Create an Edge Desktop Shortcut & Add Launch Flags
Right-click your Edge shortcut on the desktop trending_flat Properties trending_flat Shortcut tab trending_flat find the Target field. At the end of the existing path, add the following flags:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft\Edge\Application\msedge.exe" --disable-features=ExtensionManifestV2Unsupported,ExtensionManifestV2DisabledClick Apply trending_flat OK. From now on, always launch Edge using this shortcut — not from the taskbar or Start menu, those won't have the flags.
info Don't have a desktop shortcut?
Find msedge.exe in C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft\Edge\Application\ , right-click it trending_flat Send to trending_flat Desktop (create shortcut), then follow the steps above.
2- Download the uBlock Origin MV2 .crx file
Go to the GitHub releases page and download the latest .crx file for uBlock Origin (not Lite).

3- Extract the ZIP file
Unzip the downloaded file to a folder of your choice.
warning Don't delete this folder!
Edge loads the extension directly from it. If you delete or move it, Edge will lose the extension and you'll have to re-add it. Store it somewhere stable like C:\Program Files or a dedicated folder in your Documents — somewhere you won't accidentally clean up during a storage purge.

4- Enable Developer Mode in Edge
Navigate to the extensions page and flip the switch.
edge://extensionsToggle Developer mode ON (bottom left corner).
5- Load the Unpacked Extension
Click "Load unpacked" and select the folder you extracted in step 3. Make sure to select the inner folder that contains manifest.json.
6- Pin and verify
Click the puzzle piece icon trending_flat pin uBlock Origin. If you see the red shield, you're blocking. celebration
warning Edge may disable sideloaded extensions after updates. You'll need to re-enable them from edge://extensions when that happens.
